Volunteer Opportunity: Community Wall Restoration in Iwilei

Join HomeAid Hawaiʻi on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM as we help restore and revitalize the DHS wall near Alana Ola Pono Kauhale in Iwilei.

We are looking for 5–10 volunteers from the general public and Kauhale residents to work side by side in beautifying the community. Volunteers will help prepare the wall by laying down painter’s tape and plastic coverings, then assist with painting over graffiti-covered areas to create a cleaner, more welcoming space.

This is a meaningful opportunity to support community pride, connect with residents, and take part in a hands-on revitalization project.

Volunteer Tasks:

  • Lay painter’s tape and plastic around the wall and surrounding areas
  • Help paint over graffiti-covered walls
  • Work alongside Kauhale residents and community volunteers
  • Support a safe, positive, and collaborative work environment

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026
  • Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Location: DHS wall near Alana Ola Pono Kauhale, Iwilei
  • Volunteers Needed: 5–10 people
  • Who Can Volunteer: General public and Kauhale residents

No painting experience is required—just bring a willingness to help, comfortable clothes that can get paint on them, and a heart for community.
